The diversification search continues on for investors

The fund invests in property equities, property bonds and direct property, essentially mirroring a conventional multi-asset fund but entirely focused on the property market.

It is likely to prove popular with investors looking for a diversified approach to the property market, and it would not be surprising to see other niche products along similar lines crop up, as investors look for new ways to generate returns.

Diversification is always trumpeted as the mantra of the multi-asset manager. If one invests in enough uncorrelated assets the hope is to generate a steady return whatever happens in the markets.

The perfectly diversified portfolio has yet to be found, but more and more financial products keep appearing in multi-asset funds in the search for that diversification.
